The Van Buren County Human Society officially began in April 2020. Our primary goal is to spay and neuter companion animals whose owners can't afford the entire cost. Our ultimate goal is to to turn away from the model that ships individual dogs north looking for homes, and instead find ways to keep the animals that are here healthy and better cared for. To do so, we need get to the root of the problem. By spaying and neutering pets, we can stop the never-ending supply of abandoned dogs and cats.
